This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use the Passion Media app and website (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1a. Information You Provide

• Account information — name, username, email address, phone number, date of birth, profile photo.
• Content — videos, photos, audio recordings, live streams, messages, and comments you create or share.
• Payments — if you purchase coins or subscriptions, payment details are processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not store your full card number.
• Communications — messages you send through in-app DMs or to our support team.

1b. Location Data (including Background Location)

1c. Camera and Microphone

• Camera — used to record reels, take photos, apply AR effects, and host live streams. Only accessed when you actively open a camera feature.
• Microphone — used to record audio for reels, voice messages, and live streams. Only accessed during active recording or streaming.

1d. Device and Usage Data

• IP address, device type, OS version, app version.
• Pages and features visited, time spent, and interaction events.
• Crash reports and performance diagnostics.

1e. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure how our Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share your data only in these limited circumstances:

• With other users — content you post publicly, your profile, and (if enabled) your live location are visible to other users per your privacy settings.
• Service Providers — third-party vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics). They are contractually bound to use your data only for the services they provide to us.
• Legal requirements — in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or government request; to comply with applicable law; or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
• Child safety reporting — we are legally required to report Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement. See our Community Safety Standards.
• Business transfers — if Passion Media is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, with prior notice to you.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.

• Live location data is deleted from our servers immediately when you disable sharing.
• Account data is deleted within 30 days of a verified account deletion request.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have the following rights:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal data. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app, or email us at support@passionmedia.social.
• Opt out of location sharing — disable Live Location Sharing at any time via the in-app toggle. No location data is collected when sharing is off.
• Opt out of marketing — unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email we send.
• Portability — request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Passion Media is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, or to report content involving the exploitation of minors, contact our child safety team at safety@passionmedia.social or use the in-app Report feature.

8. Links to Other Websites

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services not operated by us. We have no control over their content or privacy practices and are not responsible for them. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy here and, where appropriate, sending an in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
